Late Tuesday evening, June 17th, emergency responders were called to a serious accident on Highway 199 near Pojo Road, west of Springtown, Texas. According to initial reports, a vehicle collided with a pedestrian.
Tragically, the pedestrian, identified as a 68-year-old woman from Springtown, was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical services.
Authorities from Parker County ESD 1, PCHD EMS, Springtown PD, Parker County Sheriff's Office, and DPS all responded to the incident. As a result of the accident, Highway 199 was temporarily closed for investigation purposes.
