During overnight hours, TxDOT work on the Irving Interchange project from April 28 to May 5 will affect Irving motorists using Loop 12 and State Highways (SH) 183 and 114, as well as frontage roads and surrounding streets:
FRIDAY, APRIL 28, 8 P.M. TO 5 A.M.
- The SH 183 eastbound frontage road will be closed from Tucasa Drive to Loop 12.
- The Loop 12 direct connector to westbound SH 183 will be closed.
SUNDAY, APRIL 30, 8 P.M. TO 5 A.M.
- The SH 183 eastbound frontage road will be closed from Loop 12 to Grauwyler Road.
- The northbound Loop 12 frontage road will be closed from Grauwyler Road to SH 183.
MONDAY, MAY 1, 8 P.M. TO 5 A.M.
- The SH 183 eastbound frontage road will be closed from Tucasa Drive to Loop 12.
- The northbound Loop 12 frontage road will be closed from SH 183 to Texas Plaza Drive.
- The Loop 12 direct connector to westbound SH 183 will be closed.
TUESDAY, MAY 2, 8 P.M. TO 5 A.M.
- The SH 183 eastbound frontage road will be closed from Tucasa Drive to Loop 12.
- 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.: Northbound Loop 12 will be closed from Grauwyler Road to SH 183.
- The northbound Loop 12 frontage road will be closed from SH 183 to Texas Plaza Drive.
- The Carl Road exit from westbound SH 183 will be closed.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 3, 8 P.M. TO 5 A.M.
- The northbound Loop 12 frontage road will be closed from Grauwyler Road to SH 183.
- The Loop 12 direct connector to westbound SH 183 will be closed.
- The Union Bower Road exit ramp from southbound Loop 12 will be closed.
- The southbound Loop 12 frontage road will be closed from Grauwyler Road to Union Bower Road.
THURSDAY, MAY 4, 8 P.M. TO 5 A.M.
- The Loop 12 direct connector to westbound SH 183 will be closed.
- The Union Bower Road exit ramp from southbound Loop 12 will be closed.
- The southbound Loop 12 frontage road will be closed from Grauwyler Road to Union Bower Road.
FRIDAY, MAY 5, 8 P.M. TO 5 A.M.
- The Loop 12 direct connector to westbound SH 183 will be closed.
- 11 p.m. to 8 a.m.: Eastbound SH 114 will be closed from Spur 482 to Grauwyler Road.
- The Carl Road exit from westbound SH 183 will be closed.
- The Union Bower Road exit ramp from southbound Loop 12 will be closed.
- The southbound Loop 12 frontage road will be closed from Grauwyler Road to Union Bower Road.
Detour routes will be posted. Motorists are advised to expect delays and seek alternate routes when possible.
IRVING INTERCHANGE PROJECT
This work is part of the ongoing $301 million Irving Interchange project that will reconstruct the interchanges at SH 183, SH 114, Loop 12 and Spur 482. The project is anticipated to complete in spring 2024, weather permitting. TxDOT is urging motorists to use caution in the work zone.
