Irving Police Arrest Suspect After Knife Attack in Robbery Incident

Irving Police responded to a reported robbery early Sunday morning, March 17, 2024 in the 3100 block of W. Northgate Dr. At around 5:28 am, officers arrived at the scene where a 31-year-old male reported being robbed by an individual wielding a knife who fled in a red Toyota Tundra pickup truck after stealing the victim's cell phone.

Four Irving Officers quickly initiated a search for the suspect and located him at the Irvington Place Apartments on Third Street in South Irving. The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Byron Esau Trejos-Vigil, was apprehended with the victim's cell phone in his possession.

Trejos-Vigil was charged with Aggravated Robbery, and bond was set at $25,000. Additionally, he was found to have an outstanding warrant for Domestic Violence/Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
