The Texas Department of Public Safety has released additional information regarding the plane crash in Wise County Wednesday evening.
At 6:37pm, a 1992 Aero Vodochody L-139 took off from Fort Worth’s Alliance Airport and was headed to Bridgeport Municipal Airport when it crashed into a field near the 1900 block of Highway 380.
The pilot, a 62-year-old woman, sustained critical injuries and was flown to a Fort Worth trauma center. She has been identified as a resident of Washington, Texas.
A 58-year-old male passenger sustained serious injuries and was flown to a Denton hospital. He is from Florida.
The FAA has taken over the investigation.
