At approximately 4:30pm today, emergency services rushed to the scene at the intersection of Park Vista Blvd and Glen Canyon Road following reports of an accident involving a child.
Upon arrival, responders found a young girl who had been hit by a vehicle. She was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Fort Worth Councilman Charlie Lauersdorf commented on the incident, expressing concern over the circumstances. "I am aware of the tragic accident that happened this evening when a little girl was hit by a speeding car while she was crossing the street at Glen Canyon and Park Vista Blvd on her way home from school,” said the Councilman. “This is devastating for all of us.”
While it is believed that speed may have been a factor, authorities have not confirmed this detail as the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
