A tragic accident occurred on Sunday, February 25, around 6:30 AM, leading to the death of a 40-year-old man on Interstate 20. Multiple departments responded to the scene located between the I20/I30 split and Farm to Market Road 1187.
According to Fort Worth police, the man had been involved in a minor collision with a semi-truck and had pulled over to exchange information. After completing the exchange and calling for a tow truck, a passing vehicle struck him while he was outside of his vehicle. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
There is currently no information available regarding whether the vehicle that struck the man stopped to provide assistance.
The Fort Worth Police Department’s Traffic Investigations Unit is conducting an investigation into the crash.
