33-year-old Devin Thomas of Dallas has been found guilty of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The incident took place on March 17, 2023, when Thomas and the victim engaged in a verbal altercation outside a convenience store on Ann Arbor Avenue around 5:00 am. During the altercation, Thomas brandished a firearm and shot the victim twice in the arms before fleeing the scene.
Following an investigation by the Dallas Police Department, Thomas was tracked down in Las Vegas and subsequently arrested. He was brought back to Dallas to face charges related to the assault.
Thomas has now been sentenced to 10 years in prison for his actions.
