Traffic Stop Leads to Discovery of Meth Lab in Corsicana

On Sunday, February 4, 2024, Navarro County Sheriff Deputy Aldo Hernandez conducted a routine traffic stop in the 1900 Block of Martin Luther King Blvd in Corsicana for a traffic violation. Upon investigation, the driver was found to be wanted on an outstanding parole violation warrant.

Further inspection revealed the presence of methamphetamine and a non-operational methamphetamine lab, along with a pill press. The Navarro County Sheriff's Criminal Investigation Division, along with the Dallas field division of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), responded to the scene to aid in the investigation.

The suspect was subsequently charged with possession of a controlled substance, and the outstanding arrest warrant for parole violation was served.
