DPS Seeks Public Assistance in Locating Vehicle Involved in Ellis County Fatal Hit and Run

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is seeking assistance from the public in locating a vehicle involved in a fatal hit and run incident. The incident occurred around 6:46 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2024, claiming the life of 36-year-old Alonzo Burrows Jr. of Ennis, who was walking along FM 1182.

Based on evidence found at the scene, DPS reports that the involved vehicle is silver in color. However, details regarding the make, model, and year of the vehicle remain unknown. The DPS has indicated that the vehicle likely sustained front-end damage to the bumper and headlamp.
