In the early hours of Sunday, January 28th, at 5:57 am, emergency responders from Plano Fire Rescue and DPS Troopers rushed to the scene of a significant accident on the northbound lanes of the Dallas North Tollway at the Sam Rayburn Tollway.
According to investigators, the incident unfolded when a driver, heading northbound on the Dallas North Tollway, took the exit ramp to the Sam Rayburn Tollway. Subsequently, the driver attempted what investigators deemed an "unsafe" lane change back onto the northbound lanes, resulting in a collision with the dividing median.
Tragically, the 26-year-old driver, identified as a resident of Carrollton, was pronounced dead at the scene.
