On the morning of Wednesday, January 17, 2024, Irving Police Department received a call from a vigilant witness reporting a potential criminal trespass at an apparently unoccupied house. An Irving officer arrived and went to the back of the house and observed multiple people running through the backyard.
Despite the officer's commands, the suspects attempted to escape on foot. After calling for backup, Officers successfully apprehended all three individuals involved. Another officer entered the house and found another suspect inside asleep and arrested them as well. An NCIC check showed two of the suspects to have outstanding warrants, which were confirmed.
A subsequent search of their belongings uncovered drug paraphernalia, illicit substances, and debit cards not registered under their names.
The suspects have been identified as 26-year-old Tiffany Renea Berhow, 32-year-old Vanitie Devon Bigham, and 29-year-old Ivan Arreola.
Berhow faces charges of criminal trespass habitation and holds two outstanding warrants issued by the Collin County Sheriff's Office for drug-related offenses.
Bigham is charged with criminal trespass habitation and evading arrest, with her bond set at $1,500.
Arreola faces charges of criminal trespass habitation, evading arrest, and possession of dangerous drugs, along with an open warrant from the Dallas County Sheriff's Office and three misdemeanor warrants from the Grand Prairie Police Department for traffic violations.
The successful resolution of this incident reflects another commendable job by Irving Police Officers.
The investigation is ongoing.
