DFW Airport Unveils Innovative Concessions Concept Supporting Homeless Recovery

Last week, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) proudly introduced a unique concessions concept aimed at supporting a social impact model for homeless recovery in Dallas and Tarrant Counties.

The newly opened "The Bridge Travel Essentials" in Terminal A serves as a one-stop-shop for all travel and souvenir needs. Whether passengers are looking for a quick grab-and-go snack, personal care items, or locally-sourced memorabilia, the store caters to diverse traveler needs.

What makes The Bridge Travel Essentials special is its commitment to giving back. A notable 5% of the store's proceeds will be directed towards supporting The Bridge, a prominent homeless recovery center in Dallas. Additionally, the store is staffed through the Upspire workforce program, a Fort Worth-based initiative by the Presbyterian Night Shelter. This collaboration is expected to generate an annual revenue of $200,000 for The Bridge and create several job opportunities through the Upspire program.

DFW Airport expressed enthusiasm about being part of this impactful partnership, highlighting the potential positive effects on local communities. Travelers passing through Terminal A can contribute to the mission by patronizing The Bridge Travel Essentials, conveniently located near Gate A10.

The airport encourages community members to join in supporting this initiative and looks forward to witnessing the positive impact it will have on homeless recovery efforts in the region.
