On January 6, 2024, at midday, Irving Police Officers responded to a disturbance call. Upon arrival, they discovered that a woman suspect, identified as 28-year-old Sedonia C. Jackson of Dallas, had made verbal threats and assaulted another individual. The woman attempted to flee from officers on foot but was apprehended after a short pursuit.
During a search, officers found Jackson in possession of less than 2 grams of marijuana. Further investigation revealed that she had an open warrant issued by the Dallas County Sheriff's Office for aggravated assault family violence. Jackson was subsequently taken into custody and booked into the Irving Jail at 12:53 pm.
