Irving Public Library Expands Database Selection with Gale, Offering Diverse Resources

Irving Public Library has announced the integration of an enhanced array of databases powered by Gale, offering patrons an extensive selection of resources to cater to various interests and needs.

While renowned databases such as Gale Academic One Search provide an excellent platform for academic research, the new additions cover a broad spectrum of categories, making them ideal for hobbyists and casual readers alike.

For those interested in do-it-yourself activities and leisure pursuits, the library now offers options encompassing home and gardening, food and drink, home repair, arts and crafts, and travel. Patrons can delve into these subjects through articles from reputable publications such as Eat Fit Be Fit and Fodor’s.

The National Geographic Virtual Library is also available! The iconic monthly publication provides in-depth coverage of society, cultures, nature, science, technology, travel, geography, and more.

Gale Health and Medicine offers access to full text articles from medical journals, and Gale Legal Forms provides thousands of legal forms for Texas and other states, including business, personal, litigation and federal forms; a directory of attorneys, and definitions of legal terms.

To explore these diverse topics and more, patrons can access the databases either in-person at the library or remotely from home, requiring only an active library card and PIN.
