Irving Police Arrest Middle-Aged Woman for Vehicle Burglary and a Teenager in Stolen Vehicle Pursuit

In two unrelated incidents on December 21, 2023, Irving Police made arrests involving individuals with outstanding warrants and alleged criminal activity.

In the afternoon, 44-year-old Katherine Becerra of West Dallas was arrested by Irving Police for burglary of vehicles. Ms. Becerra, previously residing near W Northgate Dr and N Belt Line Road in North Irving, had two open warrants for arrest issued by the Dallas County Sheriff's Office for resisting arrest and mail theft. Her total bond has been set at $5,500.

Contrary to the common association of vehicle burglaries with young males, this case involves a middle-aged woman. Ms. Becerra's arrest sheds light on the diverse demographic involved in such incidents.

In a separate incident on the same day, Irving Police officers attempted to stop a reported stolen vehicle. The driver, identified as 19-year-old Jacob Davidson, was apprehended after attempting to escape on foot following a brief pursuit. A subsequent search revealed that he was in possession of a weapon.

Davidson was booked into the Irving Jail at 3:13 pm and faces charges of felony unauthorized use of a vehicle, evading arrest deten, unl carrying weapon, and poss marijuana <2oz. His total bond amount has been set at $7,500.
