On the morning of December 8, 2021, an Irving Police Officer conducted a routine traffic stop after observing a driver exceeding the speed limit. The driver, identified as 34-year-old George Jerome Hodges Jr., was traveling at 53 miles per hour in a 35-mile-per-hour zone.
During the stop, Hodges informed the officer that he did not possess valid insurance and did not have a driver's license on his person. Upon further investigation, the officer discovered that Hodges had a total of 12 open warrants for arrest. These warrants were issued by various law enforcement agencies, including Cedar Hill Police, Grand Prairie Police, Arlington Police, Dallas City Marshall's Office, and Westlake Police.
The warrants were related to offenses such as driving without a license (DWLI), traffic violations, and other related charges. Hodges was taken into custody and is expected to face legal consequences in connection with the multiple warrants issued against him.
