In the afternoon of November 7, 2023, an Irving Police Officer encountered 41-year-old Nakama Naone Harvell of Dallas. Harvell failed to identify as a fugitive and subsequently fled the scene with his vehicle. Despite the attempt to evade arrest, police officers successfully apprehended him.
Upon searching Harvell, authorities discovered illegal drugs, specifically identified as fentanyl. He was subsequently arrested on charges of evading arrest with a vehicle and possession of a controlled substance, Penalty Group 1, greater than 1 gram.
Further investigation revealed that Harvell had open warrants from the Dallas County Sheriff's Office, the Dallas City Marshal's Office, and Garland Police. The warrants were issued for various offenses, including criminal trespassing, theft, assault, and drug possession.
