On December 7, 2023, at around 1:47 AM, Fore Hill Police officers conducting routine patrol at the Woodspring Suites on 4101 E California Pkwy observed a male attempting to evade police presence by hiding behind a pickup truck. The truck in question had been reported stolen approximately 2 miles away within the city of Forest Hill.
Officers proceeded to detain the male suspect, who managed to escape and flee the scene by entering a separate vehicle. A brief pursuit ensued, culminating in the successful apprehension of both the male and an accompanying female occupant.
Investigations revealed that both individuals were involved in the theft of the pickup truck. Consequently, both suspects were arrested for evading arrest/detention.
The rightful owner of the stolen pickup truck was able to recover his vehicle.
