21-year-old Man Arrested After Kidnapping Woman in Irving

Keyevion Davis

IRVING, Texas - A 21-year-old man is being held without bond after police said he restrained and assaulted an 18-year-old woman during an incident that began in Irving and later ended in Grand Prairie.

According to the Irving Police Department, an officer responded around 10:05 p.m. on May 15 to a Bank of America in the 800 block of South State Highway 161 in Grand Prairie to assist the Grand Prairie Police Department with a disturbance that originated in Irving.

Police said the victim reported that 21-year-old Keyevion Davis arrived at her workplace on Cottonwood Valley Drive in Las Colinas to bring her food. While inside her vehicle, the two became involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation.

According to investigators, the victim attempted to get out of the vehicle, but Davis allegedly restrained her by grabbing and pulling her hair while driving away with her still inside. Officers said the victim was unable to leave freely during the incident and suffered visible injuries that were documented at the scene.

Authorities said the victim was later able to call 911 without Davis knowing after the vehicle stopped at the bank in Grand Prairie. Some details surrounding that portion of the incident remain unclear.  We have contacted the Grand Prairie Police Department, but we are still waiting on their response.

Davis was arrested without incident and booked into the Irving Jail on a kidnapping charge. The victim requested an emergency protective order.

The following day, on May 16th, Davis was transferred to the Dallas County Jail, where he remains in custody without bond because of previous arrests and pending legal cases in 2025.
