Irving Woman Arrested on Drug Charges and Parole Violations

Andrea Jimenez

IRVING, Texas — A woman with prior drug convictions and outstanding warrants is back in custody following an early morning arrest, according to the Irving Police Department.

Andrea Jimenez, 44, was taken into custody around 6:26 a.m. May 9 in the 700 block of Singleton Boulevard. Officers, working with the Dallas County Sheriff's Office, executed an arrest warrant and reported finding her in possession of methamphetamine.

Jimenez was booked into the Irving Jail and charged with possession of a controlled substance Penalty Group 1/1-b. She also faces two warrants for parole violations related to prior drug cases. Her bond was set at $200,000.

Background of the warrants

The warrants stem from two prior arrests in 2025. Jimenez was first arrested March 4, 2025, for possession of methamphetamine and was arrested again April 28, 2025, on a similar charge. Both cases were later filed and resulted in indictments.

On July 2, 2025, she accepted a plea agreement in both cases and was placed on three years of deferred adjudication probation.

A motion to revoke that probation was filed April 6, 2026, in Dallas County after authorities said she violated its conditions. The violation followed a March 29 arrest by Grand Prairie police for violating a protective order that had been issued March 11, 2026.

Jimenez served 30 days in county jail for that violation and was released April 28 before her latest arrest.

Criminal history

Authorities said Jimenez also has prior arrests that include terroristic threat causing fear of imminent serious bodily injury in December 2024, assault family violence involving bodily injury, possession of cocaine in April 2021, and a 2019 family violence assault case.
