DALLAS, Texas — A woman was injured in an early morning shooting in Deep Ellum after a Dallas police officer reported hearing multiple gunshots Sunday, according to authorities.
At approximately 2:10 a.m. on March 1, 2026, Dallas Police responded to an assist officer call after an officer heard gunfire in the 2700 block of Elm Street.
Officers arrived and determined a woman had been shot in the leg in the 2700 block of July Alley, located behind a business along Elm Street. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Her condition has not been released.
According to scanner traffic, officers later conducted a felony traffic stop, during which the suspect was taken into custody without incident.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional details have not yet been released.
