On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at approximately 6:17 a.m., emergency services responded to a major accident near Highway 360 Northbound at Trinity Blvd. The incident began as a two-vehicle accident. Both drivers exited their vehicles and were struck by an oncoming vehicle.
The driver of the oncoming vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
One of the struck drivers, a 37-year-old man from Arlington identified as Silvano Ornelas Jr, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other motorist was transported to a local hospital with injuries, and their condition is currently unknown.
The Fort Worth Police Department Traffic Investigation Unit is handling the case.
