On Thursday, May 16, 2024, at approximately 10:56 am, Dallas Fire Rescue's Engine 35 was sent to respond to an industrial accident at the UPS distribution center located at 10155 Monroe Drive. Initial reports suggest that an individual fell into a trash compactor at the facility.
Engine 35, upon arrival, called for assistance from the department's Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) team for potential extrication efforts. However, upon reaching the scene, the individual was found deceased.
Dallas PD has been assigned to investigate the circumstances surrounding the individual's death.
The incident is currently under investigation.
