Very early, Saturday morning, Irving Police Officers responded to multiple reports from North Irving residents regarding gunfire in the area. Upon arrival, an officer spotted a vehicle matching the description provided by witnesses, with two occupants inside, driving erratically.
A traffic stop was initiated, leading to the identification of the occupants as brothers 40-year-old Fredy and 41-year-old Jorge Aleman-Salazar. Further investigation revealed troubling findings.
Jorge Aleman-Salazar, the driver, was arrested and charged with his second Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) offense, as confirmed by a blood test. Meanwhile, Fredy Aleman-Salazar, the passenger, was found to be the individual responsible for firing a weapon out of the vehicle window.
Fredy now faces charges of Discharge of a Firearm in a reckless manner. Both brothers were taken into custody and booked into the Irving Jail at approximately 3:15 am. Jorge's bond was set at $4,000, while Fredy's was set at $1,000.
Additionally, the authorities have detained the brothers at the request of the US Immigration Service due to their status as illegal aliens. They await further legal proceedings.
