On Sunday, February 3, 2024, Irving Police Officers arrested 30-year-old Jose Lopez on multiple warrants.
Lopez faced two misdemeanor warrants from the Dallas City Marshal's Office for failure to appear, a felony warrant from the Dallas County Sheriff's Office for Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle (UUMV), and two warrants from the Uvalde County Sheriff's Office for human smuggling of individuals under 18 years of age.
He was apprehended without complications and taken to the Irving Jail at 12:59 pm. While the bond for the smuggling charges was set at $50,000, the bond for the UUMV charge is yet to be determined, and Lopez remains in custody.
