On Saturday, January 27, 2024, at approximately 5:38 pm, Irving Police Officers responded to a disturbance at the 900 block of Lake Carolyn Parkway in Las Colinas. Upon arrival, they discovered that 34-year-old Dairious Okese Cabbil had assaulted his 25-year-old pregnant girlfriend during an argument, resulting in scratches to her arm. While the injuries were not life-threatening, they raised concerns due to the victim's pregnancy.
A total of four Irving Officers took Cabbil into custody, charging him with domestic violence assault causing bodily injury, classified as a 3rd-degree felony. His bond has been set at $20,000.
Cabbil has a history of violence, with previous arrests in July 2022 by Tarrant County Sheriff's Deputies for assault, family violence causing bodily injury, and in March 2022 by Arlington Police Officers for family violence causing injury.
