What is a buy walk operation?

A buy walk operation, also known as a controlled buy or controlled purchase, is a law enforcement tactic used to apprehend individuals involved in the illegal sale or distribution of controlled substances. During a buy walk operation, undercover officers or confidential informants make a pre-arranged purchase of illegal drugs from a suspect. The transaction is closely monitored and controlled by law enforcement to gather evidence and ensure the safety of all parties involved.
