Irving Police Apprehend Violent Fugitive on Multiple Warrants

A wanted felon, 31-year-old Andrew Joshua Jones, was apprehended in Irving on Wednesday morning. The Irving Police Department, in collaboration with multiple agencies, successfully located and captured Jones at his last known address in the 200 block of Linda Ln, situated in the Nichols Park neighborhood of North Irving. Jones had a total of 8 warrants, including five misdemeanors for failure to appear in court regarding traffic citations issued by the Coppell PD and Farmers Branch PD.

The more serious charges against Jones included two warrants issued by the Arlington PD for failure to appear on two assault causing bodily injury cases. Additionally, there was a warrant from the Harrison County Sheriff's Office in East Texas, stemming from a September 3, 2021, incident involving the theft of a vehicle. Jones was taken into custody and booked into the Irving Jail at 10:57 am.

UPDATE:  On January 11, 2024, Arlington PD issued three more warrants for theft and assault of a family member.

The investigation is ongoing.
