Dallas, Texas - A deadly crash on Monday forced Dallas Fire-Rescue and police crews to shut down the southbound lanes of Central Expressway (US-75) just short of its interchange with LBJ Freeway (I-635). The collision was reported shortly after noon, around 12:20 p.m., in an area of North Dallas near the busy highway junction.
Authorities say the wreck involved several vehicles, including a passenger car and a tractor-trailer. One person died at the scene, while another victim was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
As of 4 p.m., all southbound lanes of Central Expressway remained closed while crews worked to clear the scene and investigate the cause of the crash. Drivers in the North Dallas area were urged to seek alternate routes as the investigation continued.
