DALLAS, Texas — A woman was killed and a juvenile suffered serious injuries after a pickup truck crashed into a concrete barrier and another vehicle early Sunday morning on North Central Expressway, according to the Dallas Police Department.
Police and Dallas Fire-Rescue responded at approximately 3:56 a.m. on May 10, 2026, to a major accident near North Henderson Avenue.
Preliminary findings indicate a pickup truck traveling northbound veered across two lanes before striking a concrete barrier and pillar.
Investigators said the truck then reentered the roadway and collided with a second pickup truck, causing that vehicle to hit a concrete barrier and stop in the roadway.

Authorities said the first truck struck the concrete barrier again before coming to a stop.
The first vehicle was occupied by a driver and four passengers. All four passengers were transported to hospitals for treatment.
Police said one adult woman was transported in critical condition and later died from her injuries. She was identified as 18-year-old Hazel Fuerte-Soto, a senior in High School. Fuerte-Soto was a passenger in the back seat. A juvenile passenger suffered serious injuries.
The second pickup truck was occupied by a driver and one passenger. Officials said the passenger was taken to a hospital for medical evaluation.
According to investigators, the 18-year-old driver of the first pickup truck, Kevin Omar Sanchez, was arrested at the scene for DWI and transported to a hospital for treatment. Sanchez has been charged with Manslaughter and Assault with a Vehicle Causing Serious Bodily Injury. According to the affidavit, the five in the first pickup truck had just left a club.
Sanchez was out on bond for a 2025 arrest and charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance PG2 (Tetrahydrocannabinol also known as THC) and for Providing False Identification to a Mesquite Police Officer during a stop.
Hazel Fuerte's funeral service will take place on May 16th (10:00 am) at Mt. Carmel Funeral Home at 1225 E. Irving Blvd, Irving, TX 75060.
