DALLAS, Texas - A 55-year-old Irving resident was sentenced to seven years in prison on October 15, 2025, following a conviction for the aggravated sexual assault of an 8-year-old child. Fidel Perez-Santiago pleaded guilty in a Dallas County courtroom as part of a plea agreement with the Criminal District Attorney’s Office. The prosecutor was Megan Jay Scott. Judge Amber Givens presided over the case in the 282nd Judicial District Court.
The investigation began after the victim made an outcry, prompting involvement from Child Protective Services (CPS) and the Irving Police Department. On May 23, 2025, Irving Police officers executed an arrest warrant at an apartment complex near W. Rochelle Road and N. Story Road in North Irving, taking Perez-Santiago into custody without incident.
