On October 21, 2025, at approximately 6:30 a.m., Department of Public Safety troopers and Plano Fire Rescue/Police responded to a four-vehicle crash on the northbound lanes of the Dallas North Tollway near Spring Creek Parkway.
Preliminary investigation indicates an 18-wheeler made an unsafe lane change and struck a passenger car, causing it to hit a concrete wall and roll over. Two additional vehicles then collided with the passenger car.
The driver of the passenger car, a 47-year-old man from Dallas, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other drivers were not injured.
Authorities reported that the 18-wheeler driver fled the scene. The crash is being investigated as a hit-and-run.
