Intruder Killed by Homeowner after Returning to the Scene a Second Time

An incident in Tulsa, OK, began when a suspect gained access to the residence through an open bedroom window, brandishing a gun. He immediately demanded valuable items from the resident. However, the resident truthfully informed the suspect that there was nothing of value to take. Frustrated, the suspect then encountered the resident's mother, who possessed a safe containing medications. In compliance with the suspect's demands, she opened the safe, allowing him to seize its contents, along with a cell phone and the keys to the resident's car.

Escaping in the stolen vehicle, the suspect quickly departed the scene, prompting the residents to contact emergency services via 911. Meanwhile, during the conversation with Tulsa Police dispatch, to everyone's surprise, the suspect returned to the residence. This time, he forcefully kicked in the front door, only to be confronted by the homeowner's son, who had armed himself with a shotgun.

Realizing the imminent danger, the son took decisive action and fired at the home invader. Struck by the shotgun blast, the unknown male suspect managed to flee to the street but ultimately succumbed to his injuries. Paramedics rushed him to the hospital, where he was officially pronounced deceased at 4:34 a.m.

Upon inspection of the suspect's person, responding officers discovered a black pistol. However, upon closer examination, it was determined to be a pellet pistol meticulously designed to resemble a genuine firearm.

In light of these events, the homeowners have been fully cooperative with the Homicide Detectives overseeing the investigation. The case remains active, and efforts to identify the deceased suspect are ongoing. As progress continues, the authorities will release additional details as they become available, ensuring transparency throughout the investigation process.
