Irving Gas Station Incident Leads to Arrest, Officer Injured

Irving Police responded to a domestic disturbance call at the QuikTrip gas station on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at the intersection of N. Beltline Rd and Willow Creek Dr., south of Highway 183. Upon arrival, officers encountered both individuals involved in the incident.

The victim, identified as a 51-year-old Black female, reported that she had been assaulted by her boyfriend, 20-year-old Donald White Jr. She stated that White had grabbed and squeezed her, resulting in minor injuries. The victim disclosed that she and White were in a dating relationship, and he was a member of her family and household.

When officers attempted to apprehend White, he resisted arrest and injured a 31-year-old female officer. Officer C. Tarango, a member of the Irving Police force since 2021, managed to subdue and handcuff White. Officers J. Wong, J. Rivas, and R. Finley assisted in the arrest and subsequent investigation.

Donald White Jr. was charged with Assault of a Peace Officer, Domestic Violence Assault Causing Minor Injury, and Resisting Arrest as per the indictment. Officer M. Porterfield served as the reporting officer for this incident.
