Collin County Administrator Announces Retirement After 25 Years of Service

Collin County's County Administrator, Bill Bilyeu, has announced his retirement after over 25 years of service effective July 5, 2024. Bilyeu's leadership has been vital in guiding the county through significant growth while ensuring stability and efficiency.

In a letter addressed to the Commissioners Court, Bilyeu expressed pride in the dedicated team he's worked with, highlighting their commitment to serving the community with integrity. He expressed confidence in the county's future under their guidance.

The Commissioners Court will initiate the search for Bilyeu's successor to carry on his legacy of exceptional leadership. Candidates for the County Administrator position must have management experience leading diverse teams, preferably in government agencies at the federal, state, or local level. Additionally, a strong understanding of financial and economic concepts, government operations, construction, transportation, and organizational management is required.
