Lewisville police and fire crews responded Monday morning to a report of a shooting in the 900 block of Bellaire Blvd. Officers arrived shortly after 9:00 and found an adult man who had died from what investigators say appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
No one else was hurt, and police say the incident is isolated to the location where it occurred. There is no threat to the public, but residents can expect a continued police presence in the area while the investigation moves forward.
Authorities are asking people to avoid the immediate area so first responders can work without delays.
