Irving Police and Dallas County Deputies Arrest Wanted Parole Violator at Willow Creek Apartments

Joseph Timothy Mahon

On Friday evening, November 28, Irving Police officers, working alongside the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, executed an arrest warrant for 63-year-old Joseph Timothy Mahon of Irving. He was taken into custody in the 3300 block of Willow Creek Drive at the La Puerta Azul Apartments, located across from Home Depot.

Mahon was wanted for a parole violation tied to a previous case involving the manufacture and delivery of methamphetamine. His criminal history spans multiple jurisdictions and several convictions. In May 2023, he was arrested in Wilmer, Texas and later charged in Dallas County with intent to deliver methamphetamine in an amount between 4 and 200 grams. He pleaded guilty and received three years of deferred probation.

During that case, investigators noted his prior history, including a March 2008 conviction in Dallas County for Injury to a Child, for which he served two years in prison, and a 2004 conviction in Volusia County, Florida, for possession of cocaine.

A warrant for his arrest was issued on August 12, 2025, after a motion to revoke his community supervision and proceed with adjudication of guilt. That motion stemmed from his August 2025 arrest for Injury to a Child, Elderly or Disabled Individual with Intent to Cause Bodily Injury, as well as his failure to complete required treatment at the Dallas County Judicial Treatment Center in Lancaster.

Mahon’s criminal record also includes a 2014 theft conviction in Dallas County, an eight-month state jail sentence for a 2013 theft conviction in Denton County when he was a resident of Carrollton, and a 2022 Dallas County conviction for possession of methamphetamine.

Mahon was safely taken into custody without incident. The case will move forward through the Dallas County criminal justice system.
