Three of Five Dead in Dallas Targeted Shooting

Dallas Police Homicide is investigating a shooting that occurred at the 8500 block of Lazy Acres Circle in Dallas, Texas which is located within the Landmark On the Valley Apartments.

It was January 6, 2023, at about 4:30 AM, when Dallas Police police received a 911 call and responded to the shooting scene.  As they arrived, Police officers found that five people had been shot while they were gathered in a back parking lot.  

Three of the victims, two men and one woman, died at the scene. The two other victims, both adult males, were taken to a local hospital with one in critical and the other in stable condition.

Police investigators say that "this does not appear to be a random shooting".

It is unclear what the motive was and the case remains an ongoing investigation.

UPDATE 1: Dallas Police have identified two victims as 29-year-old Queidin Flores and 22-year-old Stanley Chachagua. The second male victim is not being identified until family notifications are made.

UPDATE 2: Dallas Police have identified the suspect in the homicide on Lazy Acres Circle as 25-year-old Evin Geovanny Mata-Guzman. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call 911. Do not take police action. This suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.
