On the afternoon of Tuesday, May 13, 2025, Irving Police officers responded to a disturbance at The Stella Apartments in the 4200 block of Pleasant Run Road, across from Sam Houston Middle School in North Irving.
Upon arrival, officers encountered 27-year-old Morgan Lee Lara (currently residing in Fort Worth). Lara was reportedly upset and demanding the return of her belongings from an apartment tied to a friend who had been criminally trespassed earlier that day.
Officers conducted a warrant check through the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and discovered Lara had multiple felony and traffic warrants issued by outside agencies. She was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Irving Jail at 5:59 p.m.
The felony warrants originated from Kinney County in Southwest Texas and involved charges of smuggling illegal persons into the United States. Following her time in the Irving Jail, Lara was transferred to the Dallas County Jail before being extradited to Brackettville, Texas, to face the charges.
