A man is dead following a road rage incident that escalated to gunfire on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at approximately 8:39 a.m. Fort Worth Central Division officers responded to a shooting call near 3600 NE 28th St. Upon arrival, they discovered a victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body.
According to investigators, the victim and a witness were traveling together in a vehicle when they became involved in a road rage altercation with the suspect. The victim was turning into a business when the suspect pulled alongside their vehicle and fired multiple shots, striking the victim and the vehicle. The suspect then fled the scene.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Shortly after the shooting, a Haltom City officer spotted the suspect’s vehicle and stopped it. The suspect was detained, and after further investigation, an arrest was made.
The suspect, identified as 31-year-old Noel Ibarra, is currently in Fort Worth custody and charged with murder.
