Shortly after midnight on February 5, 2025, White Settlement Police officers responded to a shooting at a motel in the 600 block of N. Jim Wright Freeway. Upon arrival, officers located a man who had been shot in the parking lot and quickly apprehended the suspected shooter. Another individual related to the incident was also detained.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Multiple agencies dispatched by WEST COMM 911, including the Sansom Park Police Department, Lakeside Police Department, and Westworth Village Police Department, responded to assist White Settlement officers. The Fort Worth Police Department and Tarrant County Sheriff's Office also provided support.
Detectives remain on the scene investigating the circumstances leading up to the shooting. A firearm believed to have been used in the incident has been recovered. The investigation remains ongoing.
