Red Oak Firefighters, along with other Ellis County fire departments, responded to a vehicle-in-water rescue on Thursday, January 30, following continuous rainfall that caused widespread flooding.
The incident was one of several water rescues reported throughout the county as rising water levels made road conditions hazardous.
In a statement, the Red Oak Firefighters Association urged drivers to exercise caution, saying, “Please be careful while traveling this morning and do not drive through water over the roadway.”
