On Monday, January 27, 2025, at approximately 6:40 p.m., Fort Worth police responded to a reported shooting along the northbound lanes of E. Loop 820 near Meadowbrook Drive.
Upon arrival, officers discovered an unconscious individual in a vehicle stopped at the ramp near E. Loop 820 and Craig Street. The victim, identified as 62-year-old Ricky L. Langs of Fort Worth, had suffered a gunshot wound.
MedStar EMS transported Langs to JPS Hospital, where he was pronounced dead in the emergency room at 7:37 p.m.
Investigators believe the shooting stemmed from a road rage incident. As of now, no suspects have been taken into custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
