On January 1, 2025, at approximately 2:41 a.m., Fort Worth police responded to reports of a shooting at 5701 Crowley Road in the Edgecliff Village area of south Fort Worth.
Upon arrival, officers found a man lying in the parking lot with a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office will release the victim's identity pending notification of next of kin.
Preliminary investigations suggest the victim confronted a car burglar in the parking lot and was shot during an altercation. The suspect fled the scene and remains at large.
