The Allen Police Department is investigating a deadly two-vehicle crash that occurred early Sunday morning, December 29, 2024, near E. Bethany Drive and Whitman Drive. At approximately 12:14 a.m., officers responded to reports of a major crash and arrived to find a vehicle overturned in a creek beneath Bethany Drive.
Inside the wreckage, they discovered an unresponsive male. Despite efforts by officers and emergency personnel from the Allen Fire Department to revive the victim, he was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Collin County Medical Examiner.
Preliminary investigations indicate the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Bethany Drive at a high rate of speed. After colliding with another vehicle traveling in the same direction, the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and overturn in the creek. The driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene and provided a statement to officers.
