A fatal accident occurred early Sunday, December 22, 2024, when a vehicle lost control and crashed near White Rock Lake. Dallas Fire Rescue and Dallas Police officers responded to the scene at Northwest Highway and N Buckner Blvd at about 2:45 a.m.
The preliminary investigation revealed the driver and front passenger were traveling eastbound in the 9000 block of E. Northwest Highway when the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing the crash.
23-year-old Alyssa Rodriguez, the passenger, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, who suffered minor injuries, was transported to a local hospital and will face charges of Intoxication Manslaughter.
