On Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at approximately 7:00 p.m., a robbery occurred at VIP Vapors, located at 6306 Lake Worth Blvd. A Black male suspect, dressed in a black sweatshirt, jeans, ski mask, and sunglasses, entered the store and demanded cash from an employee while brandishing a pistol. The suspect stole around $200 in cash before fleeing the scene on foot.
The suspect was seen heading southwest toward the intersection of IH-820 and Quebec. Officers from multiple agencies, including the Fort Worth Police Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), responded to the scene and spotted the suspect at a distance. However, he managed to flee before he could be apprehended.
A perimeter was established near Quebec and Shady Oaks Manor, and a search was conducted using Lake Worth Police K-9 units and a Texas DPS helicopter. Despite an exhaustive search, the suspect was not found. Detectives are following up on evidence that may help identify the individual.
