At approximately 7:45 a.m. on Friday, December 13, emergency crews responded to a fatal accident in the 2000 block of Farm to Market Road 2135, just outside the Cleburne city limits. Johnson County Fire Station #80, CareFlite ground EMS, and multiple law enforcement agencies were dispatched to the scene of a collision involving a motorcyclist and a vehicle.
The motorcyclist, identified as 73-year-old James Milton Cockrell, a motor escort officer from Fort Worth, was transported to a local Cleburne hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Cockrell’s death, and the accident remains under investigation.
