4,600lbs of Marijuana Seized in Major Drug Bust at Farmers Branch Warehouse Complex

Early Wednesday morning, December 4th, detectives from the Farmers Branch Police Department and agents from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) executed a narcotics search warrant at a warehouse complex in the 2000 block of Valley View Lane, resulting in the seizure of approximately $400,000 in cash and over 4,600 pounds of marijuana.

The investigation began with a tip from an informant and developed into a months-long effort that uncovered a large illegal drug operation. Detectives discovered that suspects were forging Certificates of Authenticity for legal Hemp and CBD products, replacing their legal contents with illegal narcotics such as marijuana/THC and psilocybin.

At the warehouse, these products were repackaged and shipped to vape shops across the Dallas-Fort Worth area and other cities in Texas and nationwide. Several undercover purchases were made by the Farmers Branch Police Department, with laboratory testing confirming that the products contained THC levels as high as 60-70%, as well as varying concentrations of psilocybin.

Though subjects inside the building were briefly detained, no arrests were made during the search. The DEA has since taken over the investigation and will lead the prosecution of any federal charges.

The Farmers Branch Police Department emphasized its commitment to protecting the community and expressed gratitude for the DEA’s support throughout the investigation.
