On Sunday, December 1, 2024, at approximately 4:14 a.m., an Irving Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a gray MINI Cooper in the 3300 block of Willow Creek Drive near South Beltline Road. The driver, 44-year-old Rachel Renee Doherty, was en route to an apartment complex on Willow Creek.
During the stop, the officer discovered narcotics in the vehicle. Doherty was initially charged with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1/1-B (between 1 and 4 grams) for methamphetamine and fentanyl, as well as Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 2.
While being booked at the Irving Jail, two additional drug possession charges were added. Doherty’s total bond was set at $5,000, and she has been transferred to the Dallas County Jail.
